Birth Doula Services
-24/7 availability by phone, email, and text to stay in touch, answer questions, give resources and keep up to date on your pregnancy.
-1-2 in person prenatal visits to discuss how you envision your birth. We will also explore how you might best overcome discomfort in labor and practice different comfort measures and relaxation techniques. Whether you are planning an unmedicated birth, getting an epidural, or scheduling a cesarean, I want to ensure you and your partner feel prepared for what is ahead and know you are fully supported.
-Once you are in active labor (YAY!) I will join you and your partner and provide you with continuous, calm, support. Along with your partner, I will be helping you get into different laboring positions, offering comfort measures, and making sure you have all the information and support you need throughout the entire labor and as changes to your birth plan arise.
-Once baby has been born I will remain with you until you are comfortable. I will help facilitate that initial hour of skin to skin and your first breastfeeding if you would like.
- I offer one postpartum visit 1-2 weeks after birth. At this visit we review and process your birth, check in on how you are recovering, how baby is doing, etc.
Postpartum Doula Services
My role as a postpartum doula is to support you through the first few months of your baby's (or babies') life. I am there to help you rest, recover, and feel taken care of, so you are relaxed and free to bond with your baby.
As a professional postpartum doula, I am there to support your entire family. My education and experience lies in newborn care and soothing techniques, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding support, bottle feeding, sibling care, referrals to other professionals (such as lactation counseling), light meal prep, light housework, etc.
I am also available for overnight newborn care to help you get that desperately needed night of sleep.
